A Company ID verification adds a second level of authentication to an account login. By creating a Company ID for your company, you add an extra layer of protection to your AccuTax data. Once a Company ID is created, AccuTax will require you and your employees to enter in a Company ID and Password to access the software.

After the Company ID and Password has been validate, you will be able to access the User Login screen.

You will only need one Company ID and Password for your Company.

How does a Company ID Works?

  1. The Company Administrator will create the Company ID and password and give the credentials to the company employees.
  2. All authorized employees that have access to the software will login if from the Company ID login page.
  3. After the Company ID and Password has been validated, the employee will be directed to the User Login screen. Each employee will have their own unique user login credentials.

Frequently Asked Questions

During the registration process of the Company ID, you will select a passphrase that is only set by you. When needing a password reset you will click on the reset password link on the Company ID login page and enter in your Client User ID and passphrase that you selected during the create a Company ID registration.

If you forget your passphrase, you will have to contact a Customer Support Manager to have your passphrase reset.

No. Your employees can not reset your Company ID password unless you provide them you’re your passphrase.

No you cannot opt out of having a Company ID and Password. This second level of security helps protect you and your client’s data.
